About Salto

From its inception in 2001, SALTO was created with one objective: to devise a world-class access control system that was simple to use and extremely efficient, giving users the ability to control all their access needs and secure all their doors without complex and expensive wiring. Such a solution had to be simple to install and set up, cost-effective, reliable, complete and future-proof.

Description

The Gatekeeper in combination with the Salto online access controller functions as a long-distance badge reader for distances up to 25 meters to the license plate. It provides fast and contactless access allowance for authorized vehicles.

The Gatekeeper recognizes a license plate and hashes the recognition result to a 26 bits Wiegand signal compatible with Salto systems. An IO extender module, developed for the Gatekeeper, sends out the Wiegand signal. The IO extender is plugged in the junction box of the camera.

Avutec developed the Salto Wiegand calculator, a tool to facilitate Salto system configuration. This online tool calculates the hashing of a license plate compatibile for the Salto access controller.

The Salto-Avutec system integration is a widely proven access control solution based on license plates in many projects.

Configuration, commissioning and monitoring a Gatekeeper is done remotely with CortexClient. Remote management ensures a low TCO, total cost of maintenance and above all a quick and professional way to offer support and service.
