This application note handles the setup and configuration of the Net2 controller and a Gatekeeper 410X/1250X or ModuleX. In this integration the AVUTEC ANPR camera recognizes license plates and transmit the data to the Paxton Net2 Plus system.
The Paxton system then verifies this data against its database of authorized license plates, deciding whether to allow or deny access.
Wiegand
The 26-bit Wiegand protocol is used to facilitate communication between the ANPR cameras and the Paxton Net2 Plus system. Wiegand is a widely accepted industry standard for data transmission in access control systems. The 26-bit format can represent up to 16.7 million unique codes, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
Mounting and commissioning of the camera
For guidance on the installation and setup of the camera, AVUTEC provides an online manual, accessible at www.avutec.com/support/ with the password ‘Avutec!’. Here, you’ll find dedicated manuals for both the Gatekeeper and Module models, along with a Quickstart guide applicable to both. This application note specifically addresses the integration of AVUTEC and Paxton systems.
